Parks and Recreation Department


BallfieldThe Parks and Recreation Department, under the direction of the Parks & Recreation Director, is responsible for maintaining the Park Street Recreation Complex, Kinchafoonee Recreation Complex, and organizing various county-wide leisure activities.

The Park Street Recreation Complex consists of six lighted baseball fields, three score towers, three concession stands, restroom facilities, a public pavillion, and paved parking areas on 18 acres and the Kinchafoonee Recreation Complex consists of four lighted softball fields, score tower, concession stand, restroom facilities, 0.5 mile jogging track, and a paved parking area on 17 acres.

The department currently offers the following leisure programs:

  • Baseball
  • Softball
  • Basketball
  • Wrestling
